Yesterday was a special and big day for me spiritual-wise. Thanks to my mommy who never give up sending me to Sunday school and tirelessly bringing me to all church activities in relation with my First Communion activities. Took me two years total in order for me to be qualified to achieve this greatest milestone that happened yesterday.
Mommy congratulated me after receiving my First Holy Communion at St. Batholomew Catholic church on May 20,2017. Thanks to her because if it wasn’t for her perseverance and encouragement , I would have not completed this. Now that I am done with this, we can take it easy and relax. Hopefully, when we move out in the country we can find a Catholic church to go to so I can continue to receive my communion.
Anyway, here’s me receiving the Eucharist from the priest, it was fulfilling and this Eucharist will serve as food for my soul.
Second picture is a group picture of the first batch of communicants, another batch followed right after us! Congratulations to all these kids too!
This is my 9th birthday cake. I am so into dinosaurs and so I thought it would be great to have a dinosaur on my birthday. Although it came two days later after my birthday, yet it made me happy. Dada bought it for me. Mommy has been busy working and I am glad dada heard me and bought me this one.
It is pink which is not really my favorite color but I have no complain. It is too pretty to be a cake. Two wishes on my birthday were granted, to go on skating and a dinosaur cake. I could not ask for more! I am very happy.
This is me and Santa taken at Island Spa retreat in December 9. It is my second time attending a party at that place, thanks to mommy’s friend for hosting the party and inviting Santa over. This time it has a bit of change because Mrs. Claus came with Santa too and we did caroling, story-telling and enjoyed two games. Lots of candies I got and a free picture with Santa. I did not have a chance to tell him what I want for Christmas but I am getting some, I think.
It was a fun night not just for the kids but for adults as well. We only stayed for two hours though because mommy came straight from work that night and had to work early the following day. Over all, it was a blast and I enjoyed it, that’s for sure!
There is nothing more wonderful than imagining how it is to become a mermaid. Mommy reads a lot about Ariel the mermaid who fell in love with Prince Eric, the human. So, I can’t help but pretend having a tail and swim in the deep ocean.
That imagination somehow is being fulfilled when mommy handed me this blue knitted mermaid tail blanket for her review. It is a little too long and big for me now but I love it. When I put my legs in it, I feel like I become a mermaid, flopping my tail and just let my mind think that I actually have a mermaid tail.
I find it very cool, so does mommy and my little sister. Plus it is a blue color that makes it look a bit believable. I wear it when I am seated on the chair while watching t.v.
June 2,2016 was the last day of school for 2015-2016 school year. I finished second grade that day and a garnered 7 awards from my teacher/s.
My awards are;
“A” Honor Roll
Invention Convention – this is an award that the whole class in Mrs. Pouncil’s advisory for winning the contest in the whole FWISD, there were 80 schools competed during that time and Mrs. Pouncil’s class won the trophy.
2nd Grade Completion
Despite of the constant nagging I got from mommy and early morning rises during those entire school period, I am thankful to her and my dada for helping, supporting and guiding me through out. I love them and forever will be grateful for the things they have done to me and the unconditional love they have given me since birth.
Looking forward to another year of my grade life.

The coolest place I’ve ever been to so far in my life is the Gaylord ICE Texan Sculpture. Huge sculpted colorful ice and an ice slides surrounded by ice walls and all. It was very cold inside at 5 degrees F, we wore two layers of thick coats that night yet I still shivered especially in my feet.
It was like in fantasyland. Me and my sister had a great time sledding down the ice. We’ve made a couple round of slides before I decided to stop for I can no longer bear the coldness in my little feet. We took several pictures of the beautiful sculptures and here’s one of mommy’s favorite sitting on a bear chair with me, little sister and dada.
It is so pretty over there that makes me want to come back each year. Well, depends on mommy and dada if they want to bring us back to the ICE Sculpture.
After the ice sculpture, we went to look at beautiful toys and gifts at the gift shop then headed to the entrance of the hotel where colorful Christmas lights display was and it was free for us to see. It was one fun night for our family, perfect for everybody!
December 4, 2015 was a Pajama Party night we attended with my sister and mommy. Coming there for the first couple of minutes I thought it was boring. Just foods, noise from adults’ loud talking and kids that are new that I don’t know. Mommy asked me to help decorate their Christmas tree but I refused.
Until they started giving us craft activities, that is when I started enjoying my time at the party. Then in the middle of the party, Santa suddenly appeared by the door. Everyone was overwhelmed with joy and fascination because who would have thought that he would be at the party?
It was a fun night for us all, indeed! We had our pictures taken with Santa, we also had a story time with him and most of all we got to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas and of course a little chit chat with him before he went away.
At the end of the party, the kids had some game and the only game I enjoyed and loved doing the most was the “twister”. I was very good at it according to one girl and I won 4 times in a row until mommy asked me it was time to go home. Nobody beat me playing twister and I am proud of myself for that!
So this is it! It is our first day of school in second grade! Hoorah to that! I am getting bored at home and I am glad school is starting today. I am under Mrs. Pouncil’s class and two of my first grade classmates and friends happen to be in the same class with me. My bestfriend Ariana is in a different class but in the classroom adjacent to mine. With that said, we can still see each other everyday and play in the playground when both of the classes go out at the same time.
Dada skip work today so he, mommy and my little sister can take me to my classroom on this very day. Thanks to them for they truly took the time to be with me in every step of my journey. That just only shows that I matter to them and they love me so much!
Here are photos of me and my friends to document our first day together. You will notice, I am little bit taller this time but way smaller than my friends. I also have longer and trimmed hair. I got a new floral pink/black backpack, new pair of purple shoes and new top uniform. All these prepared by mommy and of course, paid for by dada.
I will continue blogging of what is to come in this journey so please, keep coming back and ready my blog.
Me, being in second grade…
Me and my new teacher. In this photo, I introduced my name to her so she can find me in her list.
Me and Noella in our seats. When I am with my friend/s, mommy and dada think I am in my own world.
Here is a picture of me and my sister with Santa, taken last Sunday, December 7,2014 right after church. We attended the holy mass first at a Catholic church we go to in Alta Mesa Blvd. Mommy brought us there for you know, spiritual food and to have our picture taken with Santa for free.
Looks like this is going to be the only picture of us with Santa this year. Mommy has no more plan of bringing us to the mall for another Santa photo since we already got this. Besides, it is free and it saves us money. At the mall, it is quite pricey which mommy is not willing to pay right now. We are poor, we don’t have a budget for it. She just feels lucky we’ve already posed with Santa this year for remembrance.
